| Earth,
the home of mankind from time immemorial, was finally dying.
But
there was still hope that things could be fixed - until the final nail
in Earth's coffin was driven home!
Sent from Earth on a one way trip to a distant star system to establish a new home world, those aboard colony ship "Gambler" find apparent disaster awaiting them. But what really awaits them is a discovery that will eventually benefit all mankind! Finding the world they have been sent to encased in planet wide storms of a magnitude unknown on any of the other settled worlds, and with nowhere else to go, their only option is to settle, some how, on this forbidding world. The story tells of their ingenuity and courage to settle there, and of their destiny! (see

It started out as a single story. It quickly developed into a series, all linked, to give a complete picture of a human colony sent to a world in another star system to help save humanity from a dying Earth. Originally titled "Whadawedonow" (Yea, I know!!) the series has been combined into a single story. As being submitted, it is named, "Leaving Home". |
